WE ARE THE WORLD

From anarchists to Tea Party supporters, everyone in the US who senses something terribly wrong in the world wants to build a movement to change the course of history. They will fail until they realize that every day wasted fighting each other instead of the real enemy is one more day that will see the deaths of thousands of innocents at the hands of the international corporate terrorists who control the US and UK governments and by proxy, most of the other governments of the world.

Most Americans who are just waking up to the havoc wreaked by their own greed, complacency and despair believe that it is their fellow citizens who have led the nation down a path to self-destruction. This causes them to aggregate into groups bound only by superficial attributes that isolate them from others. This is a natural human tendency but one that must be fought if we are to bind together enough people to form a movement that can claim to truly represent the 99% who are the victims of the class war that they are losing in battlegrounds around the world.

Those of us who want to help form an a leaderless movement to take back America in time to save human civilization must begin looking for the values and beliefs that can unite us. We can make common cause to pursue liberty and justice for everyone of our fellow citizens of the Earth. We all share and depend on the natural resources of the planet for our individual and collective survival. We must learn that all of us are more alike than different. What we have in common is much more important than our differences. Our diversity is necessary for the survival of human civilization.

None among us is without fault. We cannot say that others are the problem if we deny that we are each part of one human society, because that makes us part of the problem. The infighting between those on the Left is the reason that they have not succeeded in forming a unified front since the Vietnam era. Focusing on differences in strategy and tactics rather than supporting all nonviolent means of change has kept them weak and divided. On the Right, the opposite is true. In discouraging individual thought and following self-interested leaders propped up by their control of the corporate media, the Right has destroyed any hope that genuine conservative leaders can help stop the madness of the neocon assault on humanity.

Even while those on the Left begin to unite by tearing down the walls between them, they can begin to bridge the gap between the Right and Left. We all share disgust at the betrayal of the middle class by the millionaires in Congress who put corporate interests above those of We the People. We all laud individual responsibility but must recognize that the collective good comes from recognizing social responsibility. If we can agree that it is money in politics that is at the root of the assault on democracy in the US, we can begin to move forward together. We must recognize that a nation that was created by people of different beliefs must put aside its differences in the cause of justice. This is how we can forge a new sense of American identity as citizens whose government is one of, by and for the People and not merely the 1%.

Although the media is not reporting it, there is already a movement to heal the divisions between the Left and Right. In Occupy encampments around the United States, Ron Paul supporters began to talk to their counterparts on the liberal Left who share their outrage at the theft of our children’s future by the banksters who crashed the US and world economies. They are united in calling for an end to wars of corporate Empire. While they differ on the political means to achieve this, they stand together to promote these values. This is the first step in unifying the voices of the Left and Right to create a chorus of demands for change rather than the discordant cacophony of those focused solely on issues they see as directly affecting them. When health care reformers join hands with antiwar activists, environmental warriors and those fighting lonely battles for their pet causes, our collective strength can build a groundswell for change that will change the collective consciousness to one in which our interdependence is recognized by all.

Liberty and justice for all are only secured by democracy. The people of the United States must form a consensus in order for their leaders to understand that they will no longer tolerate being enslaved by a corporate elite. When Americans abandon the notion that the constitution was formed not by God but by imperfect men forced to compromise by the urgent need to fight fascism in Colonial America, they will understand the need to amend the constitution to ban corporate contributions in elections. This is the only way to assure that corporate money will no longer dictate to the Puppets in the US government what course the nation will take.

When Americans create a true democracy in the United States, they can help spread democracy to other nations not at the barrel of a gun but through the example they will set. The US can once more become a shining beacon of the hope for self determination of all nations when its citizens act on the recognition that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. We are all in this together. None of us will escape alive. During our short time on this planet we have an inescapable duty to those who have died believing that they sacrificed their lives for freedom to assure that the last, best hope for Mankind will not perish from the Earth. More importantly, we have a duty to our children and generations yet unborn to assure that they will grow up in a world free from the twin threats of want and war.

THE ASCENT OF MAN: BEYOND DARWIN

Sociobiologist E. O. Wilson recently published The Social Conquest of Earth, which makes a strong case for a biological basis for Man’s tendency to associate in tribes of all sorts, from nations to political parties and even fan clubs of sports teams. He argues that it is this tendency that has caused men to create a divided world society and the conditions which have given us the opportunity for the first time in history for Mankind to control its own destiny. This can lead to Paradise on Earth or a living Hell. Our fate will depend on our individual and collective choices.

We find ourselves at this time in history where powerful and wealthy individuals hold the fate of the world in their hands. If the Peoples of the Earth can find a way to see past their differences and come together in the common interest of liberty and justice for all, we can stop the threat of self-extinction. If we continue to live in a world where the collective consciousness is dominated by tribal mentality, we will continue to fight among ourselves while allowing powerful corporate interests to rob our children of their birthright by virtue of their citizenship of the global community.

Human civilization as it currently exists developed from a struggle between tribes composed of nations and alliances of nations. These alliances have shifted continuously throughout history as those who control the most powerful governments of the world perceived that betraying former allies was the easiest way to expand and defend the Empires over which they ruled. Now that the entire world is occupied, those currently in power are playing a game of Risk acted out on a playing board that is the Earth itself. This is the predictable ending for the global game of Monopoly that they have been playing since the first tribes were formed.

The only way to ensure that future generations will inherit a world fit in which to raise children is to ensure the death of tribalism and the rapid evolution of human consciousness in which it is implicitly recognized by a critical mass of people that our collective survival depends on recognizing our interdependence and acting accordingly. This in turn means that we must build upon the worldwide rebellion that is growing and build a united international front against fascism and war.

Evolution depends on biological diversity to respond to changing environmental pressures by selecting those biological traits that improve the odds of survival of the species, which is often at odds with the survival of the individual, Wilson argues. The genes that determine these traits come in different forms and are unevenly distributed among various racial and cultural groups. The only way to maximize the survival of the human species in the self-inflicted Holocaust to come is to ensure the survival of each of these groups. Similarly, the massive die-off of entire species threatens human survival, as the natural world on which humans depend is losing its capacity to adapt to changing circumstances.

Historically, evolution has been a ruthless process of the elimination of individuals from a population who lack the genetic survival traits necessary to propagate a species under changing environmental conditions. As Man evolved and eliminated various dangers to the survival of individuals, selective pressure largely ceased to affect human evolution. The fate of individuals came to be determined not merely by impersonal forces of nature but by the decisions of psychopaths who impersonally made decisions about the fate of entire nations in the unceasing pursuit of wealth and power. The only way to respond to this new and global environmental threat is to evolve our thinking rapidly enough to act to save ourselves.

The story of evolution has never been one of a linear progression. It is full of examples of rapid die off of species and speciation of groups under extreme changes of environmental conditions such as the end of the dinosaurs and the Cambrian explosion that produced many of the species ancestral to modern ones. This was dubbed punctuated evolution by anthropologist Stephen J Gould. The ability of life on Earth to respond successfully has depended on biological diversity that has existed for most of the history of life on Earth. In today’s era of rapid environmental change, human civilization must utilize its diversity to adapt and survive.

There is reason to believe that Mankind may yet save itself from the oblivion to which it has sent thousands of species through its short-sighted and selfish actions. Signs everywhere suggest that humanity is waking up to its collective power and responsibility to care for the least among it and for the planet upon which the survival of all depends. From Occupy to the worldwide ecumenical movement, from the new energy of the once-torpid labor movement to the rise of the Tea Party in the United States, people are rising up and demanding liberty and justice for all. If they can find the means to put their tribal differences aside, the worldwide Revolution can free Mankind from the twin threats of fascism and war forever. This is the final stage of human evolution.

THE MEEK SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH

meek (noun):

1. Humbly patient or docile, as under provocation from others.

2.
Overly submissive or compliant; spiritless; tame.

3. Obsolete : gentle; kind.

Imagine a world where the strongest have all political power. Most people would concede that this was the world of the Roman Empire, a fascist entity kept in power by the Pax Romana, a system of colonialism enforced by the Roman Legions. Is this the type of Republic people mean when they insist that the United States was never meant to be a democracy?

Of course it doesn’t take much imagination to visualize such a world because we are living in it. All it takes is for people to be willing to open their eyes to the obvious truth that we are living in a fascist New World Order controlled by a small elite who are busy trying to enslave us all in a system that puts the interests of a few over the interests of every other citizen of Earth. Once a critical mass of people realize this and work together to support resistance by all the Peoples of the world, we have in place the means to destroy the system of plutocracy that has plagued Mankind since the first tribes formed.

How can the meek inherit the Earth if “meek” is defined as docile, compliant and submissive in the face of outrageous provocation? Clearly, the idea is preposterous. The key is to recognize that the obsolete meaning of the term is the only way to make sense of the idea that the meek shall inherit the Earth. Soldiers do not kill out of hate in most cases; they kill out of love of their nations, their families, their countrymen and the love of their comrades in arms who face death with them in defense of the ideal of freedom and justice.

If love can allow us to kill, it can save us from killing ourselves, but only if we abandon the notion that we as individuals belong to families and nations that are not part of the one family of Mankind that is composed of relatives living in different cultures and different places. You cannot kill with kindness; you can only build the relationships that will make killing a part of the past only dimly remembered by our children. Love is the basis for an international united front againstfascism and war that can conquer all injustice with the power of love.

There are some so frightened of change that they are docile and submissive in the face of grave injustice, even when they are the victims. Those who refuse to bow to the will of self-appointed Masters of the Universe will free the weak minded and weak willed despite their fears. We must accept that they are prisoners of their own beliefs who are unable to free themselves. We hold the key to their self-imposed prisons and must resolve to free all of them in order to complete the liberation of Mankind and bring about a world where it is implicitly understood that what is best for the individual is always what is best for all. This is the Tectonic Paradigm Shift that will save human civilization from otherwise certain self-destruction.

The next time you feel the urge to lash out in anger at the willfully ignorant who would oppose our nonviolent democratic Revolution, remind yourself that we are all in this situation together. It is natural in a hostage situation that different people will react differently. Some people will identify with the aggressor and wittingly or blindly aid them in their oppression. Others will resist. In freeing the hostages of the international corporate terrorists, we must take care not to harm those who suffer from the Stockholm syndrome in the process.

Only by learning and applying these principles can we hope to successfully wage nonviolent asymmetric warfare that will liberate mankind and create a world where our children can enjoy freedom from oppression, misery and war. Should we isolate and demonize the unwitting fascist collaborators in our midst, we will only sow the seeds of a counter-revolution. When the world is free we can reeducate the willfully ignorant not through compulsion, which leads to resistance, but by the living example of our lives and the creation of a human society where liberty and justice for all are more than just lofty ideals.
